Fuel Cell Converter uses Master-Slave DC/DC Converters
The Master DC5050F-S converts the fuel cell voltage, 22-46 Volts, to 24 Volts, which is the battery. The Gain Pot on the Master unit sets this voltage. The internal current loop of the Master has a signal, VIR, which controls the current into the load (battery). This signal, VIR, is brought out at pin 11 of the Master and feeds the slave(s) unit. This then forces the current of the Slave(s) to be the same as the Master. Slave units can be added until the desired total current is achieved.
With 2 units, a total current of 140Amps peak, 100Amps continuous is achieved.
